Hi, my name is Nick Rasmussen and I've been a photographer my whole life, yet I never realized my true passion until a few years ago when I got a Canon DSLR and a lovely film camera. I love to photograph nature, architecture, and people, but fine art is my favorite thing to experiment with and create as I explore different ideas and emotions.  Art allows me to go to a whole different realm where I can be myself and just daydream. Photography is one of my passions because it allows me to tell a story while looking through the lens of my camera, simultaneously creating a parallel world in which I choose to live. Also, I love to explore when I do my work, being in an unfamiliar, natural setting where I can just be myself and travel to the different parts of my imagination. It’s what I do best, and it is something I want to do for my whole life - capturing different parts of the world and the things that occur around us that we don’t usually notice at different perspectives.  Families, friends, and weddings are also fun to photograph as I it allows me to get to know them better while capturing a part of their life on camera.  I now have 16 cameras and I love every one of them.
